Time for a trim
There comes a time in every little girl's life where she receives a non-Mama sanctioned haircut. Usually these trims are at their own hands.
But not in my house. Not with Andy in my house.
Sitting at the table the other day with their art box, Andy decides to trim Elizabeth's hair. He cut a small piece and then cut a couple inches off one chunk. Fortunately, with her rather ... free-spirited curls, its hard to tell where Brother made his trim.
Where was Mama during all this, you might wonder? Within an arm's reach at kitchen counter.
And why did Andy cut his sister's hair? "Because it was too long." Seems reasonable enough.
ps - child safety scissors that are almost too dull to cut paper can cut hair

And every mother learns this. Wonder why we don't learn from other's experiences but always think "not my child"!!
